Family Resources

The best way to find local resources is the NC 2-1-1 directory.
You can access it at https://www.nc211.org/find-help or by
calling 2-1-1 or 888-892-1162.  Calls are answered 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.  The service is FREE, confidential,
and available in any language.
The following is also another help line in the Yadkin area for those in need. Resources are located on the Yadkin Valley Strong photo image.

Resources of Resilience Parent/Caregiver Programs: (Information Below)
WCS will be offering two Resources of Resilience Parent/Caregiver Programs in the next two weeks. Each 90-minute session will introduce parents/caregivers to how stress/trauma impacts our bodies and brains. It will also include instruction on a few simple tools to help manage stress/trauma. The same program is being offered on both dates.
We invite all of you to join us in one of the sessions. I know that remote learning and everything associated with COVID-19 has been (and continues to be) stressful for each of us in different ways. Since the end of COVID-19 is still undetermined, it's more important than ever that we take really good care of ourselves first so that we can continue to help others.
The parent/caregiver programs are being offered virtually on the following dates/times:
  • Thursday, May 28 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm
  • Tuesday, June 2 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm
In order to participate in these virtual sessions, parents/caregivers will need to register to attend. An email will be sent with the Zoom meeting link and password to those who register. Please register at the following link: https://bit.ly/2zfglN0
We hope you will attend one of these programs.
